ThirstBourne Tasting Notes
This heavy black beer poured with a short cream coloured head. There was a noticeable alcohol kick to the aroma that was otherwise dominated by coffee and chocolate. The flavour was quite fruity with a medium to robust hop bitterness. Despite the strong flavours from the malt, the overall malt sweetness was quite low. At 5.5% this is a strong mild (if that isn’t an oxymoron?).
