Brewery Description
Established in 2010, Doomed Baa is the final brew on our old kit. After nearly 900 brews, it represents the end of the first chapter of 8 Sail Brewery. It seemed fitting to sign off on a high note with a big flavoured beer. A combination of American West Coast yeast with generous amounts of Cascade and Columbus hops give this American style Pale Ale a fruity hit layered on top of a dry biscuit malt base.
ThirstBourne Tasting Notes
This copper coloured beer poured clear with stable tight cream head. The Aroma was dominated by the grapefruit and woody hops. The hop notes continued in to the flavour with a robust hop bitterness and low malt sweetness. This full bodied beer only hints at the 7.4% ABV within the dry finish.
