Brewery Description
A dark Mahogany strong bitter with a sweet, roasty, toasty malt pallet. A subtle hop nose bittered with Northern Brewer and a Golding and Celeia aroma. This traditional strong bitter at 5.0% ABV has a good mouth feel a hint of dark fruits in the back-taste and a bitter finish.
ThirstBourne Tasting Notes
This dark brown ale poured clear with a tight cream head. The aroma was sweet caramel from the malt with woody resinous notes from the hops. The hop bitterness is restrained allowing the caramel and dried fruit flavours from the malt to come through. The mouthfeel is soft and silky smooth leading to a slightly sweet creamy finish. A solid, smooth and sessionable Special Bitter.
