Inspired by the notoriously long lay-over for Kiwis flying to UK via LA. A truly rare West Coast IPA, it overflows with Riwaka hops, a best kept secret amongst Kiwi brewers, that has finally made the infamous stopover en route to your glass. Rarefied fiesta of hops that pours a rich golden orange and packs a massive tropical hop-oil punch. A malty biscuit base of Vienna, Pale and Cara-Red malts allows us to hop with Riwaka more generously announcing its bold flavour from the off.
ThirstBourne Tasting Notes
This light Amber beer poured clear with stable tight white head. The strong hop aroma was sweet with tropical, floral and peach notes. The flavour was very tropical with a moderate hop bitterness and a present malt sweetness. There was a soft but full bodied mouthfeel with medium / high carbonation and a dry finish. Excellent juicy west coast IPA – perfect for a hot day.
