All the goodness of Black Cow with some surprises. This smooth milk stout still offers the roasty malt flavours of coffee and chocolate of its predecessor but with added hints of molasses and treacle.
ThirstBourne Tasting Notes
This black beer poured with a tight, stable light brown head. There was a noticeable strength to the sweet complex aroma with creamy chocolate notes. There were bitter chocolate and coffee notes combined with sweet molasses and an aftertaste of vanilla. This full bodied beer had a strong sweetness but this was well balanced with bitterness from the dark malt and hops. The beer gives the impression of a much stronger aged Imperial Stout but at 5.4% you can afford to have a couple.
